The upcoming fourth and fifth seasons of the Netflix fantasy series will use the Hunger Games star in place of Henry Cavill. In the first-look teaser, Henry Cavill, who portrayed the monster hunter Geralt of Rivia for the first three seasons of the hit Netflix series The Witcher, is shown leading a long-haired Liam Hemsworth through a misty woodland.

“The voyage goes on. This is your first glimpse at Liam Hemsworth‘s character, Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher, according to Netflix, which also posted a teaser on X (formerly Twitter).
Liam bears similarities to Cavill’s rugged portrayal of Geralt. He and his horse Roach go into a shadowy forest. In the end, Geralt turns to look back as a beastly menace moves toward him.
During the first three seasons of The Witcher, Cavill portrayed Geralt. Netflix said Hemsworth will stay in the role for the next two seasons at the very least.
In a statement, Liam remarked, “I’m ecstatic about the chance to play Geralt of Rivia as a Witcher fan.” “I’m honored that Henry Cavill is passing the reins and letting me pick up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure. He has been an amazing Geralt.” As a longtime fan of yours, Henry, I was moved by the changes you made to this cherished character. Though I may have some large shoes to fill, I’m genuinely thrilled to be joining the world of The Witcher,” he continued.

The new season centers on Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri as they journey through the demon-infested, war-torn Continent together. The official synopsis of the upcoming fourth season of the show states, “They have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire— and finding one another again— if they can accept and lead the groupings of misfits they find themselves in.
Laurence Fishburne, who starred in The Matrix trilogy, is joining The Witcher as Regis, a “world-wise barber-surgeon with a mysterious past,” in addition to Liam. The cast is expected to include Danny Woodburn as the dwarf Zoltan, James Purefoy as Emhyr’s royal advisor and senior spy Skellen, and Sharlto Copley as the notorious bounty hunter Leo Bonhart.
Beside MCU actor Chris Hemsworth, Liam is his brother. He is well-known from his parts in Independence Day: Resurgence, The Last Song, and The Hunger Games movies.
