BATON ROUGE, Louisiana: At the Boyd & Jill Smith Family Stadium at Stanford, California, on May 24-26, 2024 Stanford Super Regional, No. 8 Stanford (46-14) will take on No. 11 LSU (43-15) in a best-of-three series.

On Friday, May 24, at 9 p.m. CT, the 8-9 Supers game will air on ESPNU, with Mike Couzens and Kenzie Fowler calling the action. Patrick Wright, the voice of LSU softball, will call the action on the LSU Sports Radio Network and 107.3 FM.
LSU had a 5-1 record after the start of playoff play, outhitting its opponent 42-25 and outscoring them 24–6, all while sporting a 0.89 ERA, 43 strikeouts, and a.157 opposing batting average through 47.1 innings.
Four home runs, including three in the Baton Rouge Regional Final versus Southern Illinois, helped the Fighting Tigers defeat their opponents 18-1. They went 3-0 in the Baton Rouge Regional and threw two shutouts. At the end of the weekend, they had a 0.37 ERA with 21 strikeouts in 19.0 innings. With 443 hits and a 2.19 ERA via 363 strikeouts in 403.0 innings pitched, LSU has a.290 batting average for the whole season. They have also turned 28 double plays, which is the second-most in program history (31 – 1998).
Sydney Berzon, the 2023 NFCA All-American and two-time NFCA All-Region First Team pick, is 19-8 with a 1.62 ERA in the circle after 194.1 innings pitched. He has also recorded 177 strikeouts. In addition to making 20 starts, Berzon has tossed 19 complete games, four saves, and three shutouts. With 19 victories, Berzon ranks sixth all-time among sophomore pitchers in program history.
Utility pitcher Kelley Lynch (9-2) was selected to the 2024 NFCA South Second Team. He has a 2.68 ERA, 92 strikeouts in 96.2 innings, and a staff-low.184 average against opposing batters. Lynch has tossed six complete game shutouts, including the program’s first no-hitter against an SEC team since 2007. In the batter’s box, Lynch has amassed 23 hits and 15 RBI.
Raelin Chaffin is a pitcher who has a 2.71 ERA, 11-5 record, and 76 strikeouts in 87.2 innings pitched. Furthermore, this season, Chaffin has spun three shutouts, including one in the postseason.
Raeleen Gutierrez, the first baseman, leads the club with 25 extra-base hits, including 17 doubles, 6 home runs, and 2 triples, while hitting.328. With 55 hits, 40 RBIs, and 27 runs added, Gutierrez is ranked second on the squad. Recent selection to the 2024 NFCA South All-Region Third Team was given to Gutierrez.
McKenzie Redoutey and Ali Newland, two outfielders, are batting.301 and.305, respectively, going into the Super Regionals. Redoutey has fifty hits, 38 runs, eight home runs, eight RBIs, and twenty-four walks, while Newland has fifty hits, eight home runs, thirty-four runs, and twenty seven walks.

A strong pitching staff that has 444 strikeouts in 407.0 innings, a 1.82 ERA, and a.212 opponent batting average leads Stanford. With 434 hits, the Cardinals bat.277 on offense.
Leading the staff with a 21-4 record, a 0.52 ERA, 292 strikeouts in 187.2 innings, and a.133 opponent batting average is Stanford’s star pitcher, NiJaree Canady. Canady’s season totals are five saves and six shutouts.
Pitcher Regan Krause has a 2.71 ERA, 20-7 record, and 102 strikeouts in 144.2 innings pitched.
Emily Jones, an outfielder, leads the club with 60 hits, a.347 batting average, and 15 stolen bases. She has 20 RBIs and 31 runs scored.
Catcher Aly Kaneshiro (.267) and infielder Ava Gall (.271) lead the squad with 11 and 10 home runs, respectively, while shortstop River Mahler (.307) and outfielder Kyra Chan (.302) follow with productive bats, batting over.300. With 39 RBIs and 94 total bases, Kaneshiro is the team leader.
