New Renault Duster: Important Information third-generation vehicle

In 2025, the Renault Duster will return to India as a third-generation vehicle. With its new base, modern styling, and assortment of engine options, the Dacia brand has unveiled the all-new Duster to the world. Renault’s announcement in 2025 to introduce it to India is a major development. The most crucial details regarding the new Renault Duster for India are included below, so read on without further ado.

1. The Renault Duster configuration

The modular CMF-B platform developed by the Renault-Nissan Alliance serves as the foundation for the new Duster and serves as the global platform for several vehicles produced by both automakers and their sister company, Dacia.

1. The Renault Duster configuration

Developed locally for production in India, this platform is a step up from the M0 architecture that served as the foundation for the first Duster.

The Renault-Nissan partnership had already disclosed earlier this year that it will be investing an additional Rs 5,300 crore in the Indian market, mainly for the purpose of introducing six new locally made models between the two brands. These would be built on the electrified CMF-A platform as well as the CMF-B platform.

2. The Outside of the Renault Duster

The new Duster has a more angular exterior, with a butch-like appearance from its strong flanks and sculpted bonnet. Both the hefty dose of plastic cladding throughout, notably on the sharp wheel arch design, and the huge 18-inch wheels enhance its appeal.

For the Dacia model, the headlights with their Y-shaped DRLs blend in perfectly with the grille.

To start, the India-bound Duster, which will be marketed as a Renault, will have minor changes to its front end design. After this comes a Nissan variant.
The rear door handles are incorporated into the C pillar, and there’s a distinctive contrast panel down the sides behind the front wheel arches.” Sporty roof spoiler, curves and grooves on the tailboard and Y-shaped full LED taillights are all visible from the back.
This new model is roughly the same length as the original Duster, at 4.34 metres. Remarkably, an even more spacious SUV with three rows and seven seats is also being developed and is expected to make its appearance in the near future.

3. The inside of the Renault Duster

The Duster’s dashboard sports a prominent central console that is inclined towards the driver, carrying over the rugged concept from the outside. Physical buttons are used to control the climate, and the AC vents are styled with a Y motif.

Numerous new technologies are included, including a seven-inch digital instrument panel, a wireless phone charger, cruise control, an automatic parking brake, a six-speaker audio system with Arkamys 3D sound, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen. However, there is no sunroof on the model that has been displayed overseas. It comes with two USB-C ports and a 12V outlet for charging the front and back passengers. Additionally, it has ADAS capabilities including lane keep assist and auto emergency braking. We anticipate that Renault will also include the ADAS package with the Duster headed for India.

4. Powertrains for Renault Duster

Three petrol engine options—two of which are electrified—have been announced thus far. A potent hybrid known as the Hybrid 140 combines a 49-horse electric motor, a high-voltage starting generator, and a 1.6-liter petrol engine to produce 94 horsepower.

This vehicle is probably going to be the front-runner for India.

A three-cylinder, 1.2-liter turbo-petrol and a 48V mild hybrid system are combined to create the new TCe 130 engine, which produces 130 horsepower overall. Although all-wheel drive is an option, it is standard with a 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. A petrol-LPG alternative will be available in some areas, but no diesel version has been revealed yet.

Terrain mode selector on the Duster AWD distributes power to the front and rear axles automatically as necessary. It has Off-Road, Eco, Mud/Sand, and Snow modes. Off-road screens that display torque distribution between the axles, pitch, and tilt angle are also standard on the AWD, along with hill-descent control. With approaches and departures of 31 degrees, 36 degrees, and 24 degrees, the Duster AWD has 217 millimetres of ground clearance.

5. The India launch of the Renault Duster

Only in late 2025 will the Renault Duster arrive in India. A strong group of midsized SUVs, such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and MG Astor, will compete with it. Anticipate a price tag of approximately Rs 20 lakh, positioning it appropriately in the mix. But like previously, the Duster may be able to stand out from the throng thanks to its rough appeal and strong brand equity.
