The upcoming Maruti Swift will have new features and specifications.

The all-new Swift, which will be on sale in the next months, is Maruti Suzuki’s next major product launch for India. The new Swift, which is being nicknamed Maruti YED internally, is slated to go into production next month after undergoing road testing in India

Details of the New Maruti Swift’s manufacture

The company’s Hansalpur plant in Gujarat will be used to produce both the new Swift and the outgoing model.

The upcoming Maruti Swift will have new features and specifications

Maruti has found great success with the Swift, selling an average of 18,000 cars per month. From this point on, the new Swift is anticipated to take over, and reports indicate that a monthly manufacturing target of about 20,000 units is being prepared.

Although the exact date of the new Swift’s launch in India is unknown, we anticipate Maruti to do so around April 2024.

Interior and exterior design of the new Maruti Swift

Maruti and its parent company Suzuki have adhered to the tried-and-true concept of the original sporty hatchback that made its debut, as seen on practically every version of the Swift.

The most recent Swift, which debuted in Japan at the end of the previous year, adheres to the same design concept. Although the bodyshell, headlamps, and taillights all have similar design features, the overall aesthetic is far crisper.

Although the new Swift appears to be about the same size as the previous generation, it is actually 30 mm taller, 40 mm thinner, and 15 mm longer. The 2,450mm wheelbase doesn’t alter.

These are the specifications of the Japanese model; the one that is being brought to India may differ slightly in terms of size and design.

Although the dashboard on the inside of the new Swift looks identical to that of the Baleno and Fronx, a closer inspection uncovers certain stylistic variances that support the idea that the new Swift has a unique dashboard design. The steering wheel, HVAC controls, instrument cluster, floating touchscreen unit, and multiple switch gears are all shared by other Maruti Suzuki models available in our market.

Opportunities for a new Maruti Swift powertrain

On the Swift headed for India, Suzuki will launch its all-new 1.2-liter petrol Z12 engine. A automobile that was on display in Japan also had this engine.

Anticipate that the engine will be equipped with mild hybrid technology and exhibit variations in power and torque output specific to India due to separate pollution regulations.

Following Swift, Maruti Dzire will debut.

The Dzire will be unveiled in India a few months after Maruti releases the new Swift, in contrast to the previous generation of Swift-Dzire twins.

Based on reliable sources, Maruti hopes to use the new Swift design and engine to “re-establish” the Swift brand in our market.
