The fact that Prince Rainier III, the late spouse of Princess Grace of Monaco and father of Prince Albert, was honored at this year’s gala made it more painful than normal. The event was founded in 1974, and the previous king was one of its creators. A beige coat and a chic black polo neck jumper kept Princess Charlene warm, giving her a demure yet elegant air.

She wore gold diamond earrings and knee-high suede boots. With his grey pants and navy coat, Prince Albert also battled the cold with a dapper air. Choosing a garment in the same color as his father, Prince Jacques was practically a mirror image of him. Princess Gabriella’s mother, who donned boots and a jacket with a leopard print, is another style icon. The two kids were wearing red clown noses, so it was obvious they were enjoying the festivities.
