The music legend received a distinguished honour in Hawaii before to her three shows at the Blaisdell Arena.
In honour of Janet Jackson’s accomplishments to the music industry and her enduring link to the Hawaiian islands, Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi declared March 7, 2024, to be “Janet Jackson Day”.
During rehearsals at the Blaisdell Arena, he gave Jackson the honour.

In 2002, she proceeded to film her HBO special “Live in Hawaii,” which captivated a global audience of more than 12 million viewers. Since then, she has brought more tours to the Blaisdell Arena.
She obviously included Hawaii on her “Together Again” tour because it has a particular place in her heart.
In retrospect, Janet Jackson remarked, “I have such incredible memories of coming to Hawaii on a regular basis since I was five or six years old.” Wonderful recollections of spending time with my family and having a great time with my brothers.

The show’s artistic director of 26 years, Gil Duldulao, praised its beauty and called it a compelling musical trip across Jackson’s remarkable career.

Around ten members of Janet Jackson’s staff, including her creative director, makeup artist, and hairstylist, are from Hawaii, which gives the tour a uniquely local feel.
