Following what was thought to be a career-ending injury in April 2015, Bryan Danielson stunned everyone by making a surprise comeback to the ring in April 2018. After leaving WWE in May 2021, the former Daniel Bryan made his AEW debut five months later. Danielson has disclosed a top-secret in-ring ritual ahead of tonight’s big dream showdown.

Later tonight, at AEW’s debut Dynasty pay-per-view, The American Dragon will square off against Will Ospreay. Danielson and Ospreay have feuded since before The Aerial Assassin returned to the promotion earlier this year as a contracted talent, but despite their long careers, they have never clashed horns in the ring.
In an interview with Sports Illustrated to promote Dynasty, Bryan Danielson disclosed a practice he has adopted before every game since coming out of retirement. The fight tonight is significant for a number of reasons, one of which is that the 42-year-old will treasure this moment as he concludes his career in the ring.
“During the fight, I’ll close my eyes to experience what it’s like to wrestle Ospreay. I’ve been doing that in my matches ever since I was forced to retire. I won’t feel that way all the time very soon. I would like to commit it to memory.
Having won five straight games since joining AEW again, Will Ospreay enters Dynasty in a winning streak. He has vanquished Claudio Castagnoli, Powerhouse Hobbs, Katsuyori Shibata, Kyle Fletcher, and Konosuke Takeshita.
